How wonderful to hear that your daughter is contributing to a sustainable fashion industry! I checked out the C&A website – so exciting to see that they are committed to creating sustainable fashion. But even more profound – they are working to improve the working conditions within a global community. Sustainability is about building infrastructures where all can experience a sense of well-being, and live in a way that supports the environment. Please give your daughter our best regards – she is making a difference for us all.

Oh Resa!!! That would be wonderful. We are going to make this happen. Your work, your creativity, your tenacity and joyful approach to life – this is what our world needs. I am just figuring out how this all works and will be in touch. My sister, Sarah, assures me that we continue to learn as we go along. She is reading about neuroplasticity, also known as brain plasticity, neuroelasticity, or neural plasticity. What all those fancy words me is that our brains have the ability to change throughout an individual’s life. Your friendship means a great deal to me.

Dear Rebecca and Sarah, I enjoyed very much joining with you on this issue of Tea, Toast and Trivia. What a great podcast. I enjoy each offering as it is issued. Our family has profited a lot from the sewing machine and all that goes with it. The machine I learned on was one of the earliest treadle models, and how I treasure those memories. My father was impressed that my mother taught my sister and me. He remarked and chuckled day when we were looking around for a needle to do some hand sewing, that, at least, we had more than one needle. He recalled that when his mother and sisters had sewing to do they had only ONE needle. If they could not find it, they were unable to do their work. For this reason, they were very sure to keep it in a safe place. This was in the early 1900s.

Can you imagine losing that precious needle. No wonder they learned to be frugal. There are so many stories held safe in the folds of history. Thank you for being there to “unfold” the stories. Looking forward to more conversations in the weeks ahead.
