Season 2. Episode 20: The Trio on Joy

Welcome to Tea, Toast and Trivia.

Thank you for listening in.

I am joined by my mother, Frances, and my sister, Sarah, to discuss a subject that is very close to my heart. How do we define joy?  How do we acknowledge our need for individuality as a well as  connection and belonging within a compassionate community?

So put the kettle on and add to the conversation.  We would love to hear your thoughts on

“I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy”

Rabindranath Tagore

  1. Yes, dear Frances has this one right! Joy resides in the heart and spirit. And as you and Sarah put it so well…it can also be a struggle relating to purpose. An interesting and provocative podcast, as usual!

    1. Oh, how wonderful that you joined us! Frances wants me to thank you again for the introduction to Lynn Austen. She has just finished the trilogy of the return from Babylon and is now looking for the next Lynn Austen book. Every book by Lyn Austen is a page-turner!

    1. I am delighted you listened in and joined the joyous chorus. We live in a world of complexity and ambiguity. It is so easy to get caught up in the angst of uncertainty. I am grateful for friendship and community for that is how we build resilience. This morning, I went for a zen walk along the Vancouver Seawall – there is a wonderful feeling when we come close to nature. Hugs and more hugs.
