Welcome to Tea, Toast and Trivia, Episode 24!
Thank you for listening in.
I am joined by my sister, Sarah and my mother Frances for a lively discussion on personal growth. Should we have an intentional plan for personal growth, or do we just let life happen and respond as we go along? How do we know whether we have made progress? According to experts, personal growth and development is essential if we are ever to realize our full potential. Personal Growth, Intentional Growth, Full Potential – these are powerful words, but words that hold many meanings and ambiguities
So put the kettle on and join in the conversation. We love to hear from you on TeaToastTrivia.com
I am your host Rebecca Budd and I’m looking forward to sharing this moment with you.
Thank you for listening in and sharing this moment with Sarah, Frances and me. Reaching our full potential is a choice and acceptance of the possibilities awaiting our arrival, just around the next bend in the road.
As Henry David Thoreau wrote in Walden: Or, Life in the Woods:
“I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”
So, until next, time dear friends, safe travels wherever your adventures take you.

Fascinating discussion. I don’t have a personal growth plan but, as Frances says, a lot of growth happens just through the process of living.

I agree! Life gives us plenty of opportunity to achieve our “full potential” whatever the means. We each have a unique journey. What I think we forget to do, in my personal experience, is to celebrate what we have accomplished. What I most enjoy about stopping by your place is seeing how you bring poetry and gardens together. There is a tranquility that comes through – I feel like I can step through the screen and appear in your garden on the other side of the world. Hugs coming your way…

Aww….. and sadly we often leave it for others to celebrate our accomplishments in an obituary.

How true. A few years ago, my brother attended a workshop on intentional leadership. The first thing participants were asked to do was write their obituaries. It was a profound way to start the session!

Thank you for this opportunity to join in with my two daughters on this valuable study. We should all grow, and I think we grow together in times like these when we discuss and learn how each of us approach various issues of importance.
